Arlene Sanchez is a seasoned nursing leader and a passionate advocate for health equity. She has a 25-year track record in managed care, with 23 years at UnitedHealth Group. Arlene is a national Health Equity Director in UnitedHealth Group’s Office of Health Equity. In her current capacity, she works with the team to identify health equity opportunities across the enterprise by fostering collaboration and engagement among stakeholders, including clinical, operational, and quality teams. Drawing upon her experience in process improvement, Arlene’s focus on this team is on designing, implementing, and evaluating health equity interventions and solutions and creating standard methodologies and frameworks to measure impact and demonstrate value.
Arlene is a registered nurse with a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Capella University. She leverages her terminal degree to support health equity research efforts in her field.
Arlene, a resident of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, shares her life with her husband and two daughters. Her love for her community is palpable, as she actively supports various nonprofit organizations. Arlene’s deep passion for philanthropy is evident in her active involvement with organizations such as the Ronald McDonald House, Emmaus Medical Missions, and Mothers Demand Action for Gun Safety, showcasing her commitment to making a difference beyond her professional sphere.
